Application Architect – Intermediate

1.   University degree at the Bachelor level in Computer Science, Engineering (Systems, Software, Electrical); and

2.   a minimum of five (5) years in the last eight (8) years were fulfilling the role of an Application Architect as defined in at least five (5) of the mandatory experience paragraphs detailed herein;

OR

3.   University degree at the Bachelor level in Science, Engineering (other than listed in option 1), Mathematics; and

4.   a minimum of six (6) years in the last nine (9) years fulfilling the role of an Application Architect as defined in at least five (5) of the mandatory experience paragraphs detailed herein;

OR

5.   Community College Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering Technology; and

    a.  Experience in operational planning to match business
         needs and information technology or information system
         options.

    b.  Experience managing and directing software development
         processes, throughout the project lifecycle, to implement
         information applications to meet stated business and
         technical challenges.

    c.  Experience in object oriented analysis and design of
         component based n-tier architectures including the
         use of UML.

    d.  Experience in requirements documentation and analysis
         for information systems or information technology.

    e.  Experience in developing web applications to support
         highly available usage and greater than one hundred
         users.

    f.  Development experience using web application servers
        such as Websphere Application Server or iPlanet/Sun
        Application Server or BEA Weblogic or Apache Tomcat
        or successor web application servers.
