Valcom is currently seeking
Course Managers, Instructors and Administrative Assistants to
support and deliver Driver Wheeled Training on behalf of the
Department of National Defence. Courses are to be delivered in
several locations throughout Canada. Locations will potentially
consist of CFB Gagetown, BFC Valcartier, CFB Petawawa, ATC
Meaford, CFB Borden and CFB Edmonton.
Employment Description by
position:
Course Managers, Instructors, and Administrative Assistants will
provide instruction and support of training for Driver Wheeled
Training. Driver Wheeled Training will be delivered to Canadian
Forces students.
Course Managers:
will be responsible to manage Driver Wheeled courses
being delivered. Responsibilities of Course Manager are in line
with that of a Course Warrant Officer/Course Officer conducting
Driver Wheel Training within the Canadian Forces.
Administrative
Assistants:
will provide support and assistance to the Course Manager and
Instructors delivering the training. Responsibilities of
Administrative Assistant are in line with that of an
Administrative NCO supporting Driver Wheel Training within the
Canadian Forces.
Instructors:
will be responsible to deliver lectures on various
vehicles (SMP). Instructors will teach and supervise the conduct
of students throughout the entire for Driver Wheel Course and
ensure that training is delivered in accordance with Training
Plans
Course Delivery:
Courses will be delivered both in a controlled classroom
environment and in the vehicle itself (in-cab instruction).
Instruction will also be delivered hangars and in the field
during daylight and night training hours.
Qualifications:
Instructors will be required to
be qualified on the vehicle
that they are providing instruction for.
Instructors should be qualified
Driver Examiners.
Instructors will possess a
current qualification of Defensive Driver Course (DDC) and
Safe Backing Course (SBC)
Instructors will be qualified
Primary Leadership Qualification (PLQ) or Jujniro Leadership
Qualification (JLC).
Provide a Valid Provincial
Driver’s License with a current Provincial Driver’s
Abstract
Possess previous experience and
knowledge on a minimum of 3 Standard Military Pattern (SMP)
vehicles such as the MLVW, LUVW and LSVW
Comprehensive knowledge of the
military training system
Standard First Aid and CPR
designation
Additional
Credentials/Qualifications:
Instructors/applicants that possess the vehicle qualifications
on the LAV3, TLAV, Bison, Coyote, and RG31 will be viewed as
strong assets to the Valcom Driver Wheel Team.
